How to find the area of the triangle formed by the points (5, 2),(-9, -3),(-3, -5).

(5,2),(-9,-3),(-3,-5),

Solutions:

The formula for finding the area of the triangle formed by
 (x_1,y_1),(x_2,y_2),(x_3,y_3),  is
frac{1}{2}|[x_1(y_2-y_3)+x_2(y_3-y_1)+x_3(y_1-y_2)]|,

Applying the formula,we get
frac{1}{2}|[5(-3+5)-9(-5-2)-3(2+3)]|,
frac{1}{2}|10+63-15|,
frac{1}{2}|58|,
Therefore, the area of the triangle is 29.
