The expression x^4+ax^3+5x^2+bx+6 when divided by (x-2) leaves a remainder of 16 and when divided by (x+1) leaves a remainder of 10. Find a and b.

• A. a = 5, b = 7
• B. a = -5, b = 7
• C. a = -5, b = -7
• D. a = 5, b = -7

a and b are equal to -5 and 7 respectively.
