#### Problem Statement: Electrical Engineering Professional Subjects

Electric Circuits: AC Circuits Problem Solving

A non-inductive resistor R is connected in parallel with an inductive reactance of 10 ohms. The combination is then connected in series with a capacitive reactance of 5 ohms. The whole combination is connected across a  100-volt,  60  Hz ac source. If R is equal to 5 ohms, solve for the voltage across the parallel combination.

A.  87.53 V

B.  88.34 V

C.  89.44 V

D.  91.87 V

The voltage across the parallel combination is equal to 89.44 Volts.
